Start with the work, not the technology
There is pressure on every organisation to “do something with AI”. The useful question is narrower: which tasks take up time today, and would AI do them well enough to be worth it?
Some tasks suit AI very well. Others look like a fit but go wrong in ways that are hard to spot. We help you tell the difference before you spend money.
Who it’s for
- Organisations whose staff already use AI tools without a policy
- Teams with repetitive document, email or data-entry work
- Leaders who want a clear view of where AI fits before investing
How we work
Review
We look at how work gets done and pick out the tasks where AI could save real time.
Prototype
We test the most promising ideas on your own data, so you see results before you commit.
Set the rules
We write a short AI use policy covering which tools are allowed and what must never be entered into them.
Roll out
We help your team adopt what works, with guidance and monitoring.
Where AI tends to help
- Drafting and summarising documents
- Sorting and routing emails and requests
- Pulling information out of forms and invoices
- Answering questions from your own internal documents
Where we’d be careful
- Decisions about individual people
- Personal data that hasn’t been assessed for risk
- Tasks where mistakes are costly and hard to spot
Questions

Is AI worth it for a small business?
Often, for the right tasks. The benefit usually comes from a few specific, repetitive jobs rather than a large project, which is why we start by reviewing the work rather than the technology.
Is it safe to put company data into AI tools?
It depends on the tool and how it is set up. Some consumer tools may use what you type to improve their models, while business versions usually offer more control. Check the terms, and set clear rules for staff about what can and can’t be entered.
Do we need an AI policy?
If your staff use AI tools at work, yes. A short written policy sets out which tools are allowed, what information must never be entered and who to ask when unsure.
What does UK GDPR mean for using AI?
If an AI tool processes personal data, UK GDPR applies as it does to any other system. You need a lawful basis, must tell people how their data is used, and may need a data protection impact assessment for higher-risk uses. The ICO publishes guidance on AI and data protection.
